Lake Trout
Lake Trout are abundant here in Lake Michigan and they are fairly aggressive when you are on them. We often catch them while trolling when targeting other species but our preferred way to catch Lake Trout is casting, jigging, or float fishing for them. When hooked on light tackle Lake Trout put up a good fight, bulldogging you and making runs down to the bottom. Lake Trout are often associated with deep water but they are often found in shallow water as long as the water temperatures are right. We offer trolling trips as well as light tackle casting and jigging trips from early Spring until late Fall as well as ice fishing for them when conditions allow so.
