Back Bouncing

Back Bouncing is another very effective technique of catching good numbers of Steelhead, Salmon, and other species of fish. The concept of this technique is to back your bait down the river behind the boat by lifting it off from the bottom and letting the current take it down stream. This method lets you cover a lot of water and it keeps your bait in contact with the bottom where most of the fish are. While back bouncing we use a fast actioned, medium/heavy rod, you want the rod to be sensitive so that you can feel if you get a light biting fish.
