Grand River Steelhead Fishing
2/19/12 Steelhead fishing has been good on the Grand River, it has been slowing down from what it was but it is still respectable. Todays guide trip was a little slower than the previous outings but Bill, Steve, and Don still managed to put more than a half dozen fish into the boat and hooked just as many others that wanted no part of the net. The water was a little higher and a little more stained today with the snow melt that we have had. I had William and John out the other day for a 6 hour and they put a bunch of nice fish into the boat, they landed well into the double digits and lost a few as well. The guys at the dam in Grand Rapids sound like they are catching some fish as well. I have also heard decent reports from the Muskegon depending on which section of river. Fishing should stay pretty good with the weather that we have forecasted. It looks like we are going to have an early spring run this year so don't wait too long to book a Steelhead Trip. Below is a sample of the fish that we have been catching.
